Marilou graduated from Laval University in Quebec City more than 25 years ago and has spent her career in constant pursuit of learning, growth, and excellence. She quickly discovered that physiotherapy was the perfect match for her love of the human body and her passion for sport — opening a pathway to help others achieve what she herself aspired to.
Her initial goal was to make the Canadian team at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, and through dedication and countless volunteer hours, she achieved it. Since then, she has gone on to attend multiple Olympic Games and World Championships, working at the highest levels of sport and applying that experience to every client she sees — regardless of their age or goals.
Marilou's philosophy is grounded in the biopsychosocial model — understanding that we are complex beings with physical and emotional aspects that are deeply interconnected. She believes in finding the root cause of the problem, not just treating symptoms, and takes inspiration from a wide community of practitioners across disciplines.
OUTSIDE THE CLINIC
Marilou loves staying active — running, hiking, and getting outside on a sunny day. She's also a creative at heart, tackling crafts and projects with her kids, from fairy gardens to painting to building a hockey puck rebounder. She can often be found listening to a podcast or audiobook on self-reflection or learning.
